The CanGoDeep Challenge invites students from different institutes in the Region of Murcia (Spain) to build a device capable of recording the depths of our seas.
The devices should be able to go to a minimum of 100 meters depth, record 10 minutes videos and return to the surface. The challenge is not competitive, but its purpose is to learn from each of the participating teams, their successes and failures, and help raise awareness in society of the need to protect the marine environment through exploration.
CanGoDeep is not only a technological challenge, but also a scientific one, demonstrating that deep ocean exploration can also be done with affordable means. All recorded material will be available to the scientific community.
