This Decade Action is a joint-work initiative among multidisciplinary stakeholders with different knowledge backgrounds (applied mathematics, statistics, acoustics, and biology) to elaborate novel digital twins of coastal seabed focused on the health monitoring of relevant biological underwater environments.
The underwater coastal environments are some of the most complex and challenging neighbourhoods to deploy and design effective technical methodologies to screen the health of an ecosystem and its seasonal evolution. Hydroacoustic measurements are the key to monitoring seabed nature in coastal areas.
This Decade Action aims to foster the design, implementation, and use of digital twin tools for monitoring the physical nature of the seabed from a quantitative perspective, quantify the uncertainty of those predictions in terms of hydroacoustic data, and subsequently, analyze some complex phenomena present in underwater environments.
