The primary objective of the Ghana Ocean Climate Innovation Hub is to identify and collaborate with relevant stakeholders to form a dedicated task force for implementing nature- and ocean-based solutions for climate remediation in Ghana and across West Africa.

Ghana is a pivotal location for this initiative. The identified stakeholders will include a diverse group: scientists, corporate executives, government agencies, civil society groups, NGOs, academia, and community organizations engaged in Nature-Based Solutions (NBS) for climate remediation in Africa. The project aims to compile, develop, and implement nature-based ocean carbon removal techniques for climate action.
