BECI is developing a comprehensive North Pacific Ocean Knowledge Network that collates and synthesizes existing information about changing ocean conditions and their impacts on marine ecosystems and transboundary fish populations.
We transform scattered research excellence into a centralized, accessible platform that amplifies existing work and creates synthesis products for climate-informed decision-making. The network connects diverse knowledge sources, from scientific monitoring to operational forecasting tools, spanning political and disciplinary boundaries. Through interactive dashboards, synthesis reports, and visualization tools, we provide decision-makers with one-stop access to historical patterns, current conditions, and future projections. This integrated approach supports earlier detection of emerging threats, coordinated responses to transboundary challenges, and enhanced capacity for climate adaptation across the Pacific Rim.
