The oceanographic influence of climate-driven changes in the Arctic extends well into mid-latitudes in this region, with distributions of many species shifting northward against current flow. By convening agencies, institutions, indigenous communities, and private sector stakeholders from all nations in the region, we can track and communicate key environmental attributes, including marine carbon stores, with greater speed and at scale. This can serve as a model for multinational partnerships for other ocean areas grappling with environmental change.
