We are an association created as a basis to build early career scientists research expeditions.
Our first project, Antarctique 2.0°C will be a sailing expedition, leaving Britany (France) in September 2021 to go to the antarctic peninsula. 6 young researchers will be on board, working in several fields to tackle the same topic : the impact of climate change and human activities on the observed ecosystems during the mission. Their fields : biogeochemistry, glaciology and oceanography, microbiology, animal behaviour, microplastics chemistry, social sciences. The research project has been developed with labs based in France, Monaco, Australia, Chile and the US.
On top of the research part, an educational project aimed at schools and universities will be launched this winter and a documentary series aimed at the general public to raise awareness of climate and biodiversity issues in the Atlantic and Southern Oceans will be filmed during the expedition.
