Asian Marine Conservation Association - popularly known as AMCA is devoted in science, technology and social science research.
AMCA was founded in the year 1988 convened by Anupam Ghosh and primarily lawfully registered in the year 1989 as not for profit making educational and research organisation under the West Bengal Societies Registration Act, 1961, India.
Accredited by many international and intergovernmental organisation like United Nations and its system organisations, AMCA presently holding Special Consultative Status of the UN ECOSOC.
AMCA scientists are generally invited by many high level summit, conferences etc, since its formation. Dr. Anupam Ghosh presently holding the position of Secretary General and Chief Scientist, by latest invited by the UN ESCAP in November, 2019 and delivered speech on Coastal Resource Management implementation in coastal nations to create huge employment generation that simultaneously could reverse the adverse impact of climate change.
