Through the Decade’s framework to convene stakeholders from diverse sectors, Foundations can support a well-functioning, productive, resilient, and sustainable ocean. They are able to take risks and explore sensitive or emerging issues to address the Ocean Decade Challenges.

Foundations can support this work through mobilizing resources, expanding communications and outreach, and engaging their networks, becoming both facilitators and ambassadors of the Decade.
