As part of the Ocean Decade Coordination Unit, we are looking for an intern or volunteer to:

• Work closely with the Ocean Decade Stakeholder Coordination Officer and other colleagues to support a variety of tasks leading up to the 2025 UN Ocean Conference (UNOC);
• Support the Stakeholder Coordination Officer in optimizing the role and engagement of Decade Coordination Offices, Decade Collaborative Centres, Decade Implementing Partners, and National Decade Committees;
• Assist in coordination, outreach, communication, research, and knowledge management efforts to advance the goals of the Ocean Decade.

Approximate start date: 17 2월 2025 (negotiable).
Duration: 3 months with potential to extend for an additional 3 months (negotiable depending on availability).

The intern or volunteer will work remotely (unless they are already based in Paris or in another location where UNESCO-IOC has a permanent office, in which case a mix of remote and office work can be envisaged).

EMB is looking for two enthusiastic, engaged, and creative early career marine scientists to join the Ambassador Programme. The Ambassadors will play an important role in advocating for EMB and promoting the societal and political relevance of all aspects of the Ocean and marine sciences, including natural sciences, social sciences, policy, and humanities, within their own communities, and to a wide diversity of stakeholders in Europe. The two new Ambassadors will collaborate and liaise with our current Ambassadors and recent Alumni to share experiences and ideas, and work on activities together. They will also ensure the continuation of the EMB ECOP Network.

OceanX 조기 경력 탐험가 프로그램은 5년 이하의 전문 경력을 가진 25세 이상의 초기 경력 전문가를 선발하여 동료 및 세계적 수준의 교수진과 함께 여러 날 동안 멘토와 지원 네트워크를 개발하고, 해양 탐사에 대한 지식을 심화하며, 집중 프로젝트와 몰입형 워크숍을 통해 해양 옹호에 대한 경력의 영향력을 강화하는 매력적인 경험에 참여하도록 합니다. 지원서는 수시로 검토됩니다.
