FOODIMAR is a three-year Sustainable Blue Economy Partnership project that aims to develop new industry-relevant solutions for valorising key side-streams from fisheries and aquaculture in climate-friendly, sustainable, high-quality, food applications.
FOODIMAR pushes the boundaries of current practices through recovering nutrients, reducing environmental impact (climate-friendly extraction processes), species diversification (jellyfish, whitefish, sea bream), and adding value to fish side-streams (production, processing), thereby making existing food systems more diverse, profitable and resource efficient.
