Chilean National Oceanographic Committee (CONA) – Chile

The Integrated Coastal Zone Management Working Group aims to enhance the resilience of coastal communities and regions against coastal hazards by making scientific knowledge accessible to decision-makers and residents.

By utilizing the best available scientific evidence, the project seeks to influence coastal ocean monitoring and find solutions for disaster risk reduction and climate change adaptation. This approach promotes sustainable practices and encourages new forms of coastal governance. The scientific information provided through interactive and intelligent platforms will enhance access to information, facilitating integrated management of coastal areas through education, collaboration, and strengthening community ties.
