The Ocean Advocate is focused on ocean literacy and education with a view to positively changing human behaviour so as to mitigate the harm being done to the ocean.
Changing human behaviour is difficult, but it starts with reaching hearts and minds and building an emotional connection to the sea. Through the use of carefully curated news, social media, a weekly newsletter, videos, an exclusive game, partnerships, promoted events, recommended books and helpful information about where to find marine courses and ocean-linked jos, The Ocean Advocate is building a following while also helping to connect and inspire diverse people and ocean players. An experiential ocean course is planned for 2025 – change can take having transformational experiences and The Ocean Advocate aims to offer a unique and inclusive journey.
