The Ocean Conference Series is a annual series of four events focusing on the seven outcomes of the Decade.
Three online conferences and one in-person event provide a platform for a mixture of short and informative presentations by representatives of science, business, politics and civil society looking at current challenges and possible solutions for the ocean. The series is designed to encourage both a lively discussion and a creative exchange of ideas, we aim to showcase interdisciplinary approaches and concrete measures to promote marine protection.
As part of this, the next Ocean Decade Dialogue will be held online on 12 November 2025 at 5 p.m. CET. Register here.
Join the German Ocean Foundation for a conversation about how legal tools can be used to protect marine ecosystems and biodiversity. The Ocean Decade Dialogue Series focuses on the 10 challenges set by the Ocean Decade. Next week we are looking at Challenge 2, how we can develop solutions for the protection, management and restoration of ecosystems and their biodiversity. Anna von Rebay and Michelle Bender from Ocean Vision Legal will present how they are using their legal expertise to protect the ocean, looking at the illegality of bottom trawling in EU waters and the growing movement to establish Ocean Rights.
