This full-day workshop, held as part of the European Cetacean Society Conference and endorsed by the UN Ocean Decade, will explore advances in underwater noise policy, monitoring technologies, and mitigation approaches for marine mammals.

Bringing together experts from academia, industry, and policy, it will address the challenges of managing underwater noise while supporting offshore development and the transition to net zero.

This workshop is hosted by the Joint Nature Conservation Committee (JNCC), NatureScot, the Department for Environment, Food and Rural Affairs (Defra), the Institute of Marine Engineering, Science and Technology (IMarEST), Seiche Ltd, Whale Seeker, Ocean Science Analytics (OSA), Edgewise Environmental, and is kindly sponsored by the Marine Mammal Observer Association (MMOA), Whale Seeker, Ocean Science Analytics (OSA), Edgewise Environmental, Seiche Ltd, and Pulcea Ltd.
