CO>SEA is the Collaboratorium for Socio-Environmental Analysis of the Ocean, a joint initiative of Sapienza University of Rome and Raw-News visual production, aimed at the operationalisation of the interdisciplinary, intersectoral and international research on Marine Social Geography and Visual Research.
The Collaboratorium has been supported by the European Union Prize for Citizen Science -Diversity and Collaboration Award 2024 and the pilot experimentation is supported by the Third Mission Funds and the Workshop Funds by Sapienza University of Rome.
The pilot experimentation is held in Anzio (Rome, Italy) and entails the testing of a reproducible and scalable methodology for investigating society’s relationship with the Ocean and the main socio-environmental issues affecting the coastal sea.
