Community Waterscapes is a new interdisciplinary knowledge exchange action that seeks to unravel Hull’s rich cultural history and heritage of living with water at the interface of two rivers and the North Sea.
Our activity involves a series of workshops in 2024 to address the need for long-term, multi-layered cultural engagement around life by the water and the corresponding environmental issues. Community Waterscapes will accelerate an inclusive and bottom-up generation as well as use of knowledge about the ocean and life in watery landscapes, contributing to the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (e.g., UN SDGs 11.4, 13.1, 13.3, 14.2, 14.4, 14.5, 14.b).
