From a single tweet, Black In Marine Science (BIMS) Week blossomed into a global movement spanning 31 countries.
We’ve formed a genuine community, transcended boundaries, and we are thrilled to announce our next wave maker. Our inaugural BIMS Week in-person event at the Sheraton Norfolk Waterside Hotel Nov-26th-Dec 2 is the first event of its kind in marine science.
BIMS Week combines a strong focus on science, self-care, and professional development. We firmly believe that nurturing emotional and professional well-being leads to scientists achieving remarkable research outcomes, contributing to the science we need for the ocean we want.
