Endurance swimmer and Man of the Ocean André Wiersig will complete a 15–20-hour open ocean swim across the Seychelles archipelago as part of his ongoing mission “Swim for the Ocean.”
Through extreme endurance, storytelling, and visual documentation, the project highlights the ocean’s role as a shared global space, without borders and calls for greater responsibility in preserving marine ecosystems. The swim will also be featured in the educational film “Generation Ozean,” designed to inspire students across Germany, Austria, and Switzerland to understand and protect what we love.
theBlueHeart, André’s NGO and nonprofit ocean initiative, uses education, storytelling, and real-world ocean missions to inspire young people and communities to reconnect with the sea and take action to protect it. André is also an Ambassador for the German National Decade Committee.
