An Ocean-Light-Installation of the UN Decade of Ocean Science for Sustainable Development (2021-2030) logo was projected on the facade of the “Miniatur Wunderland” (Hamburg, Germany) to celebrate the finale of the Vendée Globe regatta and arrival of Ocean Ambassador Boris Herrmann.
With the exclusive participation of H.S.H. Prince Albert II of Monaco, Dr Vladimir Ryabinin (Executive Secretary of the Intergovernmen-tal Oceanographic Commission (IOC) of UNESCO), Prof Katja Matthes (GEOMAR Helm-holtz-Zentrum für Ozeanforschung), Petros Michelidakis (director boot Düsseldorf) and Prof Daniela Jacob (director Climate Service Center Germany (GERICS), the event was broadcasted online. A live from the reef of Papua New Guinea and the Solomon Islands in cooperation with the Coral Sea Foundation and the Pacific Network was also part of the event.
