"قمة الدول الجزرية للمحيطات: العمل المستدام من أجل جزر قادرة على التكيف" ستجمع رؤساء الدول وممثلين رفيعي المستوى من الدول الجزرية إلى جانب شركاء تقنيين وماليين في طوكيو، اليابان، في الفترة من 3 إلى 4 يونيو 2026 لتعزيز التخطيط والإدارة المستدامين للمحيطات القائمين على الأدلة والقادرين على التكيف مع تغير المناخ في إطار عقد الأمم المتحدة لعلوم المحيطات من أجل التنمية المستدامة 2021-2030 ("عقد المحيطات").
Hosted by the Nippon Foundation, in partnership with the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Japan and the Intergovernmental Oceanographic Commission of UNESCO (IOC), the lead agency of the Ocean Decade, the Summit represents an important step to accelerate action on climate-resilient and science-based sustainable ocean planning and management.

The outcomes of the Summit – including an overview of the current ‘state of play’ of national and institutional activities in SOPM, an outline of key actions, priorities and recommendations emerging from the discussions and the introcution of the Sustainable Ocean Planning Support Network – are intended to generate momentum beyond Tokyo, shaping policy dialogues and influencing the agendas of major global events – including Conferences of the Parties to the Climate (COP31), Biodiversity (COP17) and BBNJ (COP1) processes, as well as the 2027 Ocean Decade Conference. These will be captured in a Co-Chairs’ Summary and an Outcomes Document.
