Through a pilot seaweed plantation project off the south coast of the Nazaré harbor, ecosystem restoration and biodiversity can be enhanced.
This initiative serves as a start-up for alternative forms of livelihood for the fishing community, reducing pressure on fish stocks. The seaweed pilot will also contribute to increased oxygen in the atmosphere and support alternative food production systems and processes.
