FISHTWIN exists to enhance the sustainable and effective management of fisheries value chains to deliver healthy stocks, reduce ecosystem impacts and strengthen climate change adaptation and resilience.
By providing sophisticated simulation capabilities, detailed dynamic digital representations of marine resources, habitats, and human activities, this project aims to develop a digital twin platform that integrates climate change adaptation and net-zero transformation for enhanced decision making through precision mitigation.
The project’s interventions will make a direct contribution to United Nations Sustainable Development Goals 13(Climate Action), while supporting life below water (Goal 14), responsible consumption and production (Goal 12) and energy efficiency improvement (SDG 7).
