Establishing Turkey’s Marine Environment Strategy Project has started in 2018.

The project aims to develop understanding of EU Directive 56/2008 Marine Strategy Framework Directive (MSFD) and adopt its technical aspects. Employing the 6-year cycle of MSFD, Turkey will produce a national marine strategy that handles 11 Descriptors of MSFD.
