This Contribution strengthens global coastal resilience by advancing Digital Twin technologies, multi-hazard prediction, and Nature-based Solutions (NbS). HEREON supports DCC-CR with technical expertise, training, and capacity building, focusing on the Global South and Early Career Ocean Professionals.
Pilot activities will target the Wadden Sea, North Sea, Baltic Sea, and global hotspots in China and Brazil. By connecting DCC-CR with other UN Ocean Decade Programmes (DITTO, CoastPredict) and national initiatives, it will foster integration of science, services, and governance.
