Lead institution:

Helmholtz-Zentrum hereon GmbH – Germany

Baltic PlaNet is a regional initiative enhancing the climate resilience of coastal municipalities in the Baltic Sea Region.

It supports local authorities in integrating extreme weather and climate risks into spatial planning through tools like the Sea2Land Navigator, Beach-SOS pathways, and MSP-Green Recommendations.

The project builds on 11 EU-funded initiatives and fosters collaboration among policymakers, planners, and experts.

It delivers a centralized data repository, training, and co-creation workshops to empower municipalities with actionable knowledge and strategies.

Baltic PlaNet strengthens regional cooperation and long-term capacity building to ensure sustainable, climate-resilient coastal development.
