Dive in Greenland – Denmark
ARC BLUE is Greenland’s first diving-based ocean sustainability initiative, led by Dive in Greenland.
The project integrates education, science, art, Indigenous people´s ocean knowledge, and safety training to foster community engagement and sustainable practices for future generations.
Key activities include creating an Ocean Club House in Sisimiut as a hub for marine education, cultural storytelling, photojournalism, youth workshops, and exhibitions on Arctic biodiversity and climate change.
Collaborations with schools, universities, and clubs will support citizen science, sustainable fishing, ocean-themed arts, and practical safety training (swimming, qajaq rolling, ice safety navigation). ARC BLUE has already held the first ocean school in Sisimiut in Greenland in 2025.
These activities promote ocean literacy, cultural heritage, and resilience while empowering Arctic youth as ocean stewards and linking Greenland to global sustainability movements.
