The African Youths Sustainable Ocean Campaign (AYSOC) is a multi-country initiative with the core mandate to mentor and raise the consciousness of African youths, especially those in the Gulf of Guinea region, on ocean literacy and the need for sustainable ocean economy development in relation to the Sustainable Development Goals through a participatory and inclusive process.

This initiative will also highlight the impact of climate change on the ocean and livelihood of those living in the coastal regions such as the oil-rich Niger Delta and Cabinda in Angola. It will also establish ocean literacy and marine litter clean-up clubs in secondary schools across the region.
